With a population of over 10 million people, Seoul is the capital city of South Korea. It is also the center of economy, politics and culture of the country.
Administratively, Seoul is divided into 25 districts - each has something to offer to every type of traveller. Among the more popular districts in Seoul are Jongno - where many historic landmarks are located, the international business district of Gangnam, the island of Yeoui-do, Hongdae and Sinchon for its vibrant nightlife, the shopper's district of Dongdaemun and Hyehwa, which is the performing arts hub of Seoul.
Seoul has four seasons and the best time to visit the city is from September to November, which is the autumn season. Seoul is generally sunny during these months as the city is at most picturesque.
Seoul is served by Incheon International Airport, located in Yeongjong Island and the older Gimpo Airport. However, most commercial flights are directed to the former and Gimpo is serving the Tokyo, Shanghai and Osaka international flights as well as domestic flights within South Korea.
