However, days can be shorter during winter so that is something to keep in mind. Spring season, which is between the months of March and May, is often said to be the best time to visit Japan when spring starts and the popular cherry blossoms are in full bloom. Keep in mind that the Golden Week, which happens at the end of April, is the busiest travel season so can be a relatively crowded compared to other months. The months June and July are considered to be rainy season and while that shouldn’t deter travellers from enjoying the country, the days can be dreary as well as hot and humid in most of Japan. Typhoon season happens during the months of August and September so expect strong rain and winds in some parts of Japan. Lastly, the months of October to December is also a pleasant time to visit Japan when it is not so hot and humid anymore and autumn colours begin to be seen.
Flying to Japan is relatively easy and choosing which airport to enter the country would depend on which places one wants to visit. The three main and busiest airports in Japan are Haneda Airport (HND), Narita International Airport (NRT) – both in the region of Kanto and serving the city of Tokyo – and the Fukuoka Airport (FUK) which is located in the Kyushu region and serves the city of Fukuoka.
